Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt criticized in his weekly article in the Lebanese newspaper Al-Anbaa , Israeli Knesset’s decision to lift the parliamentary immunity of Palestinian Druze MP Saied Naffah stating ” this reflects Tel Aviv’s hatred toward the “Druze of occupied Palestine.”
“Such a step necessitates that the Druze become more insistent on their Arab identity in order to confront all Israeli plans against them,” Jumblatt wrote.
Jumblatt urged all the Palestinian parties to overcome their differences and sign the national Memorandum of Understanding, which was discussed months ago in Cairo, in order to confront the Israeli occupation.
