A Jordanian air force pilot was killed on Monday after his jet crashed due to a technical fault during a training exercise, the army said.
The army statement did not specify the location of the accident, which happened as the jet took off.
Jordan is a member of the U.S.-led coalition of Arab and Western countries carrying out air strikes against the Islamic State terrorist group, which controls parts of Iraq and neighboring Syria.
