Clinton concedes ‘painful’ election defeat, calls for open mind on Trump, give him a chance

clinton-concedesDemocrat Hillary Clinton conceded the 2016 U.S. White House race to Republican Donald Trump on Wednesday and offered to work with the president-elect, who she hoped would be a successful leader for all Americans.

Clinton, appearing at midday after a bruising election loss to the New York real estate magnate, urged supporters to keep an open mind on Trump and give him a chance to lead.

“Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans,” Clinton told hundreds of supporters and staff at a Manhattan hotel.

“This is not the outcome we wanted or we worked so hard for, and I’m sorry that we did not win this election for the values we shared and the vision we hold for our country,” she said to cheers.

Possibly facing her last opportunity for a presidential run, Clinton, 69, acknowledged Tuesday night’s results were painful and that she was disappointed.

She urged her assembled staff and supporters, deflated after recent national opinion polls indicated a good chance at victory, to continue to work for a better nation.

“This is painful and it will be for a long time,” Clinton said. “But I want you to remember this: Our campaign was never about one person or even one election. It was about the country we love and about building an America that’s hopeful, inclusive and big-hearted.”

The former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state said the election results showed the nation was deeply divided, but the voters had spoken.

“Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.”

So now, after all, it is ONLY an argument between ‘legal beagles’ about what a lawyer may or may not laugh at within a Legal System which existed 30 years before.
          Which is ludicrous.
And the woman who ‘suffered’ from a verdict at that time would not have understood those ‘fine points’, that any lawyer uses to ‘defend’ .. which is the job, after all.

‘And the woman who ‘suffered’ from a verdict at that time’ was
            12 years old.
‘Rodham, records show, questioned the sixth grader’s honesty and claimed she had made false accusations in the past. She implied that the girl often fantasized and sought out ‘older men’ like Taylor, according to a July 1975 affidavit signed ‘Hillary D. Rodham’ ‘in compact cursive,’ wrote Newsday.’

GRodham didn’t need to be perverted, no child fantasises looking for older men..

I’m sure the victim needed a Psychiatrist which she didn’t get.
In only 10 years there have been changes in ‘attitudes’ … how many in 30?
And we know ‘professionals’ say that they ‘practice’, right?
I had a lawyer many years ago, who did the real-estate and business side of things – of a 2-man ‘Firm’. They ‘Appeared’ to be doing very well in it, judging by how the office changed over a few years … from a small store-front, to an owned lovely building – with art&furniture.
He closed that ‘practice’ and went on to a different business … after his ‘partner’ in it had become corrupted by the criminal-side-folks which he handled, and became one of them. Was at least cheating ‘the business’ itself – and then got arrested for other ‘ventures’.
My lawyer called one day to tell me to pick up all my paperwork and go elsewhere with it.
SO … We had a ‘chat’. He’d had enough of ‘law’, and the ways it could be manipulated.
We have seen that happens in ‘Labour’ and in ‘Real-Estate’ as well. “The Law is a Ass.”
He was Not only a good lawyer then, but a good man – I was sorry I had to search for another. of course. But I heard him and listened.
In any ‘case’, there are 2 lawyers (at least). They are ‘paid’ for the role they perform.
Some are better than others in the role …. and some (we suspect fewer) are good people.
And we know ‘cases’ are ‘overturned’ by later changes in both Law and Attitudes of a Society, which events rely again on lawyers. And always a ‘Judge’ applying ‘Law’.
You and I would need to hear THE WHOLE case – not just snippets of conversations about it – to know what the hell happened and how the 12-yr-old became a woman left to drift in her mind, after that certain trauma.
(Was she given a good Psychiatrist to help her understand herself and the trauma?)

We haven’t even touched on the matter of ‘Jurors’ – But in this society we ARE Free to sit in on any ‘case’ from beginning to end, to see how it evolves. AND there are records kept for a lifetime and longer, which is what ‘teams’ of Apprentices pour over to dig up past cases with ‘verdicts’ which ultimately direct the ‘Attitudes’ of the societal changes.
The lawyers, I’m sure, will have crass comments or laughs about the ‘system’ as well.
Which means another ’round’ of translation about what was actually meant.
And that’s why this ‘one’ case is utilized by ‘Media’ for a different purpose.
It may give the victim a chance to ‘cry out’ a lifetime of frustration for personal ‘justice’ – but it won’t allow her to (for example) poke out the criminal’s eyes. But that wouldn’t bring back the inner eyesight needed to let the past be ‘put behind’ in this case, either.

‘We’ hire ‘neutral’ agents called FBI – they and THEIR lawyers ‘review’ the event. Even more thoroughly than any – we hope they are doing their jobs with honesty too.
And they cannot relate ‘then’ to ‘now’ using newer attitudes – all is ‘in context’ of a time-period … or there’s no ‘fairness’ at all in a ‘system’.
That it was ‘one’ who felt he had to say something about it at all, is a bit of a travesty – out of the normality of the process which needs more ‘time’ than an election allowed.

That you or I would ‘blow a gasket’ over anything to do with it, is the perversion of the ‘characters’ who just voted 50/50 over 2 people for an Office Position with a 4-year contract – while being dissatisfied with both of them at a ‘professional’ level anyway.
Couldn’t find ‘one’ who was better? Too sad. But maybe it’s not a job ‘good-all-round’ people find any great personal satisfaction in – and like my ‘retired’ lawyer, have gone on to something better for them.
And yes, I really think all their heads are spinning ‘down there’ – if not around the world.
They may wish to ‘review’ the reasons they ‘believe’ the way they do … or at least, the 181 Mil who actually voted. Almost 50% too. There are ‘records’ of it all.
Ayatollahs hate that ‘record&witness stuff too… And others bury ‘records’ in ‘Eyes-Only’ archives which are never opened. Attitudes are formed in that way as well.
You may find it ‘interesting’ to ‘look back’ at open individual records, to perhaps form an opinion of ‘character development’ – hoping to know what it is now in another individual, or to formulate your opinion of them. That would be sensible.
Personally, I’m NOT losing sleep over it.
