Kerry: Maliki should do more to put aside sectarian differences

kerry warns U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki should do more to put sectarian differences aside in his country.

“Prime Minister Maliki and all of Iraqi leaders need to do more to put sectarian differences aside,” Kerry said at a news conference with British Foreign Secretary William Hague.

    Kerry is right.. Maliki promises hot air when it comes to Sunnis. that’s why so many discontent among the non-religious ones that they don’t have any leverage in the new gov,t and also they get treated as a second class citizen. And some Shiite Militia are mistreating them as well. so now Maliki is crying wolf that he is under seige. he would not be in this position if he share the power with Sunnis. I know Saddam didn’t but that’s the past Era and they need to move forward. However I despise the Jihadists period.

      Kerry may be right, but how to do it with all those tribal fatheads who never think ‘country’ but only think mine, mine, mine in their little fiefs. The thinking pervades to the tops.
