Assad: War in Syria will end this year, fighting ‘terrorists’ expected to continue

Assad putin supportSyrian President Bashar al Assad recently told Sergei Stepashin, a senior Russian official, that the active phase of the war in Syria will end this year.

Sergei reported that Assad said once the war was over, the Syrian government would “shift to what [it has] been doing all the time – fighting terrorists.”

The two also reportedly discussed Syrian and Russian economic cooperation, according to Reuters.

Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, made similar statements about the Syrian army prevailing in an interview on Sunday.

Assad’s army has lost control of areas in the north and east but remain in control of Damascus and most of central Syria.

    This is just calling a bluff, syria is facing political and physical losses.
    With russia in control of the black sea, this bluff awaits movement and that movement will give them a rough idea for how much artillery to ship.
    the satanic axis has broken its back and are counting every dollar otherwise this indirect quoting method wouldnt be used.

    With russia in control of the black sea, this bluff awaits reaction and that reaction be it movement and political hype will give them a rough idea for how much artillery to ship.

    Once Kerry had just told a nervous Lavarov that the U.S. despite all U.S. disagreements with Russia will not be supplying the opposition with heavy weapons such as manpads , that the Russians, Iranians, Assad and Hezbollah came out making this statement.
