The Military Tribunal Tuesday handed down several dozen sentences for a variety of offenses, including two weeks in jail for a soldier who harassed a female tourist.

The soldier, whose rank and name were not given, was found guilty of disobeying military directives and “harassing” the tourist, whose nationality was not specified.

The court also sentenced a Syrian man to 20 days in jail and a LL200,000 fine, and a Lebanese to a LL170,000 after they unsuccessfully tried to bribe a member of the military to ignore an undisclosed violation.

The tribunal sentenced a man to five days in jail and fined another LL170,000 for impersonating members of the police.
