Wahhab: Suleiman will be the last Lebanese president

Former minister Wiam Wahhab said that the situation in Lebanon is extremely dangerous and if things continue this way president Michel Suleiman will be the last president of the republic and the current government will be the last , adding that his statements are based on solid information.

He added:” We may have had our differences with ( former PM ) Rafik Hariri , but we have to admit that he was opposed to extremism and sent many Sunni Muslims to overseas universities to keep them away from extremism. This is something Saad Hariri did not do and will be paying a hefty price for the direction he has chosen. ”

Wahab added: ” Former Finance minister Mohammad Shatah has already presented a plan to Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on dividing Lebanon into a federation .”

According to analysts Wahab , who is a stanch ally of the Syrian regime and Hezbollah is nervous about what is happening in Syria and the role the Sunni extremists will be playing there and in Lebanon.

The United Nations says more than 5,000 people have been killed in the Syrian unrest, which president Bashar al Assad blames on armed “terrorists”.

    doom and gloom and threats of paying a hefty price even though those you accuse are not exactly happy with status quo either  yet they have not promoted or resorted to violence, how about giving some credit when credit is due. maybe he has not recovered from the trauma recorded on his youtube experience. check the resemblence of the man raped by donkey on you tube it is priceless.

      True Geo, there has not been a repeat of 2006 … but at this point, does there need to be?

        nobody understand what he say but it’s very clear: if there is a civil war in Syria and chances are ,there will be a civil war in Lebanon “oblige” but good things at the end the great Syria will be restore as in the dream of the Lion Hafez

          there are those who dream  of war and those who dream of  peace,

          he that thinks  he is standing should beware that he does not fall,,,, if bashar can do the following  he can restore his dream of great syria that you keep fantasizing about .

          -dig up gadaffi fom the desert
          -erase the rope marks from saddams neck
          -bring bin ladens body back fromthe bottom of the sea

           for now daddy long legs needs to focus on washing the blood of his  hands and realize the nightmare he faces ,,,,,welcome back leo 😉

    A Federation? That sounds like a great idea to me! Individual states making their own decisions (within limits) on what goes on there… Works in Australia like a charm! Would love to be able to live and visit a state in Leb where the extremist HA or others like them have no influence over the rules! Wow what a dream…..

    Nothing to divide, they’re all mixed up. The only solution is lifting off political system based on religions and establish real democracy. Yes some Christians are against that, but they have no power left or demographic numbers to stop it. Simply, Christians are and will always be a minority under the protection of Muslims as long as they continue to pay “Jizya” like Syria, Iraq, Jordan, etc.

Simply, Christians are and will always be a minority under the protection of Muslims as long as they continue to pay “Jizya” like Syria, Iraq, Jordan, etc.
