Iran warns could stop oil flow if sanctions imposed

Iran’s first vice-president warned on Tuesday that if foreign sanctions are imposed on its oil exports, the flow of crude will be stopped from the crucial Strait of Hormuz in the Gulf, the country’s official news agency reported.

“If they (the West) imposes sanctions on Iran’s oil exports, then even one drop of oil cannot flow from the Strait of Hormuz,” IRNA quoted Mohammad Reza Rahimi as saying.

Gulf oil ministers on Sunday reportedly discussed options to reroute oil as a precautionary measure to mitigate the impact of any blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by the Iranians

  1. I am an American of 100% Lebanese descent, love Lebanon dearly, and we Americans are just HOPING Iran tries to block the Straight of Hormuz, as this will give us just the reason we need to wipe those bxxtards out in Tehran and elsewhere in Iran, and return the country to the good people of Iran. Please, ya Iranian Scumbag Leaders, do us a favor and just try to block the flow of oil, and then sit on your balconies, and take a good, long look at the sunset, as it will be your last…..

    1. You sure don’t think like a Lebanese. Didn’t you learn anything from Iraq? You can’t bomb a nation to mold it into what you want. The Iranians DID vote, and they chose their leaders. Who else was running the 1979 revolution?

      2. Lebanese also did vote & chose their leaders, unlike Iranians their choice of leaders did not have to be approved by the Turbaned Shah, yet the will of the Lebanese people was disregarded just as it seems the will of the Iranian people was ignored.

pre-emptive reply to most likely reply,

Jumblat would not of been elected had it not been for alliance with m14, this is major reason why he is against the proposed new electoral law as it makes him further reliant on non Druz.

Mikati would will lose ~ 50% of his 2009 votes in any future election & this is after m8er’s give him their vote. LOL I wonder where he will go after this government? Most likely to the very same western, european or arab countries that his m8 allies constantly criticise despite many of their own followers living & migrating there.

      3. Dear Cross-eyed: I am very Lebanese, and think like one for sure. If Iran tries to stop the flow of oil via the Straight of Hormuz, they will feel the pain, and it will be massive, and not a warning. It will give the US more than enough reason, and honestly, I think once the holidays are over, within two months, they will take out the nuclear related sites in Iran, anyway. Unless you are an Iranian agent, would you like Iran to have nuclear capabilities? Only an Iranian agent would say YES. The Iranians voted? LOL….what are you smoking?

Yes, you certainly are confrontational. Very Lebanese. 🙂

Their little sunken navy might be an obstacle ….

    2. The Iranians would not stand a chance against the might of the American military. America is fed up, and if they close the Straight, they will not be playing games, and will hit them five times harder, then they would assume what is coming. No more fucking around, the USA is pissed and is done playing games…I am telling you, our leaders are boiling with anger, but keeping in check….for now….until after the holidays….watch and see…even if the Straight does not get blocked, they are going to hit Iran at about 8 sites, to destroy their nuclear capabilities…..it’s a done deal…

      1. I dont think he disagrees with that. Infact he figures it would be opened back up within a day…

        1. I was not disagreeing with either of them, just simply making a statement…I agree with Iranaware, 5thdrawer, and you too…:)

  5. Iran has very few cards left to play, almost all of them are suicide; Close Hormuz( in effect imposing a naval blockade on Iraq Kuwait Bahrain Qatar UAE and partial Saudi.), stop flow of oil, increase support to proxies….

They have already maxxed out everything else!
They have tried & failed to manipulate oil markets (which is the main reason behind making such threats), they have tried & failed to supply heavier & more sophisticated arms to their proxies.

Iranian society has also taken a massive hit, not just with 2009 elections but also with many issues ranging from a constantly under performing economy to dramatic increase in drug addiction.

Soon Khomeinist agents responsible for supporting terrorists will come home to find the same opposition to Khomeinist rule in Iran that they found in Syria,Iraq & Lebanon.
