Italy recalls its ambasador from Syria, urges EU to follow suit

Italy’s foreign ministry recalled its ambassador for consultations, citing Damascus’ “horrible repression against the civilian population”.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday that Rome is urging all EU nations to recall their envoys to Syria.

    to stress the hypocracy of the international world in their position towards syrian poeple is this incident exactly.

    the EU has been the forerunner in condemning and sanctioning syrian figures…yet when it came to to its embassador, it did not act…

    hats of for italian govt for saying and doing something against the tyrant…even if the PM has many question marks about him, he turns out to have the balls to follow through….even if for some personal interest somehow!
