Mikati: Lebanon rejects the naturalization of Palestinians

During a meeting with a Palestinian delegation that was headed by Azzam al-Ahmed, president Mahmoud Abbas’ envoy PM Nagib Mikati said: Lebanon is unanimous in its decision to reject the naturalization of Palestinians but vowed to work on giving the humanitarian and social issues of Palestinians in the refugee camps the necessary attention in cooperation with involved international organizations.”

Mikati said ” the rejection of the naturalization of Palestinians in Lebanon is aimed at fulfilling their right of return home to an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

Mikati told the delegation that the” Palestinian cause should be at the top of the priorities of Arab and Islamic countries” and warned against the Israeli danger.

Mikati called for Palestinian unity: “Palestinian unity also gives the different factions the required “immunity” to confront Israel,” he said
