MP Samer Saadeh who represents the Phalange party in the parliament told MTV on Monday“ that the country cannot persist with the existence of non-state arms adding that the arms are the main obstacle facing the state building efforts.” In reference to Hezbollah arms.

He drew a parallel between the current situation and 1975 when the civil war erupted .

“The 1975 civil war was caused by undermining the state’s sovereignty ,” he said

In 1975, a devastating civil war erupted in Lebanon leaving more than 100,000 dead and more than 300,000 displaced. It lasted 15 years

  1. So Mr. Saade, now that you throw at Lebanese a big problem question do you have any solutions without resorting to violence ,how you will make HA to agree, we need to hear more solutions to questions, everybody can ask question and point out the problem , but it takes more brain power to find good solutions. Any suggestions

Good one Rafic, how can we get rid of their arms without destroying the country? Do you think Nasrallah will abondone his arms which he use to dictate on the Lebanese people the will of his Iranian and Syrian masters?
If he think he can win, he should look at Libya and what is happening around the ME, I am hoping the Syrian and Iranian people win their freedom and ultimately the Lebanese will sure get rid of these mobsters

Lebanon will not have to put up with this for much longer. Assad’s regime is on the verge of being toppled and when this happens it will automatically strengthen the Lebanese state to deal with HA weapons. So don’t despair my friend there is light at the end of the tunnel.
