Future Movement official Mustafa Allouch said in an interview published on Monday that Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati is in a bad position because he was assigned to his post by Hezbollah.

“Mikati has two options: he can either be honest with himself, [step down and not] from a cabinet or he can form a unilateral cabinet that will lead the country into an inevitable confrontation with the UN Security Council and the international community,” Allouch told Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa.

Allouch also said outgoing PM Saad Hariri “has started his war against illegitimate arms especially after the weapons [which are said to be used] to resist Israel were used to intimidate the Lebanese [people].”
