Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s press office denied in a statement on Wednesday the Israeli internet report about his security equipment describing the allegation as “fabricated ” adding the aim of the Israelis is to acquire information on the prime minister’s security measures, and for this reason the media should refrain from expanding on this issue”.

Israeli Radio reported on Wednesday that the security agencies protecting Hariri are using advanced Israeli equipment that detect hostile forces several kilometers away.

The radio quoted Israeli police as saying that the equipment functions in waves that are difficult to track and block.

Israel Radio claimed that a French firm that bought the equipment from its Israeli manufacturers sent it to the Lebanese government.
