March 14 tells Hezbollah: We will not succumb to blackmail

The General Secretariat of the March 14 Forces responded in a statement on Saturday to the recent speech of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah by saying : “March 14 forces, that are holding onto justice and stability together, will not succumb to blackmail” that aims to make Lebanon a failed State. “

Nasrallah delivered a speech last Thursday on the occasion of “Hezbollah’s Martyr Day ” in which he accused March 14 leaders of treason .

“Accusations of treason to Lebanese groups and leaders of have devoted their lives to the sake of protecting Lebanon and its sovereignty are not acceptable ” said the statement.

Nasrallah is wrong to describe March 14 overtures to Hezbollah as a conspiracy. The March 14 alliance has taken many positive initiatives in calling on Hezbollah to work together on the basis of ‘unifying the accomplishments of liberation and independence’ for the sake of Lebanon”.

March 14 joined national unity governments to contain crises through consensus despite having won the parliamentary elections, the statement added.

“Does this formula represent a conspiracy against anyone in Lebanon?” the general-secretariat wondered.

Nasrallah’s said in his speech that Hezbollah will not allow the arrest of any of its members if the inquiry into the 2005 killing of former PM Rafik al-Hariri if it indicts them.

Hezbollah and Western diplomats say that the U.N.-backed tribunal investigating the killing of Hariri is expected to indict members of the group, possibly by the end of the year.

“The State’s failure to honor its commitments towards the international community and perform its constitutional duties is the fertile ground for strife, which is rejected by everyone, ” the statement added

“Our stance regarding Hezbollah’s arms has no ambiguities, and it is based on the resolution of disputes through dialogue and the gradual incorporation of the weapons into the state, the statement added. … Does this public stance contain ‘hidden stitches” and a satanic conspiracy?”

Responding to Nasrallah’s charges that some of the March 14 forces were trying to sabotage the Saudi-Syrian efforts with the help of Washington the statement said :” The general secretariat also rejects Nasrallah’s allegation” and added that Hezbollah chief should “not invent a hypothetical solution for his real problem.”

    the real resistance should be the march 14 who resist against the occupiers hezbollah
    hezbollah has been acting as an occupier since they invaded the sunnis area and the duruz
    and they have killed so many other lebaneese and assassinate people they are a bigger threat to lebanon than israel is
    they could have made a deal with israel to help them dominate lebanon and take over the sunni,s areas and in return they will not cause any trouble to israel on its south border who know syria had the same deal with israel
    the deal was that syria will protect israel border from the golan height side in return they will not object whe syria occupied lebanon for 30 years as the same time syria protected israel from its border not even one single shot was fired on israel from the golan heights for the last 30 years
    the truth is this people benn wheeling and dealing the lebaneese people were the vitims for all that conspiracy
    until president bush told syria to get the fuck out of lebanon or else the syrian picked up there shit and ran back to syria thanks for president bush for liberating lebanon

    they hide and lie under a mask of defending lebanon but yet they have commited more crimes against other lebaneese than any other forign country

      It’s worth noting that Joseph-MrPHD, with a Christian name, continues to instigate sectarian differences between Shiaa and Sunnis in Lebanon. Every time he refers directly or indirectly to May 7th, He makes sure to say that a Sunni area was attacked.
      If you truly Love Lebanon, you’d never say that. You must be looking forward to a Sunni/Shiaa conflict.
      You must have a wild imagination to come up with such theories, which makes no sense. You can never support any of your theories.
      If some one can find Bush worth thanking, He can say, and do anything. Americans can’t find anything to thank Bush for, but MrPHD finds him worth thanking.
      Do you really believe Syria withdrew because Bush told them to?

    israel acted on there own like they always do specially when they claim self defense theydo not ask any one permission
    president bush liberareted lebanon through enforcing the united nations resolution after 30 years of occupation by the syrians
    and hezbollah liberated the south of lebanon by 2000 which they got credit for but they have lost all there credit when they used there force against the lebaneese people and invaded the sunnis area and the duruz and when the crimes is uncovered they have committed against the lebaneese people they have been acting like jerks for the past 6 years and most lebaneese people lost respect for them ;they should have joined forces with the state and worked unilaterally 6 years ago instead of working bilaterally and acting like a state within a state and breaking evrey laws lebanon has it was obvious they had other ambitions beside liberating the south which is dominating lebanon which most lebaneese refuse beeing ruled by force
    there was an election and the lebaneese people choose a governement which they wish to repesent them and that is the only legit govrnement who have the right to be in place and no one else

Again, assuming you are not Lebanese, otherwise you would not ask such a question. Even non Lebanese would know a little about what I’m going to tell/remind you of.
    You many not have heard that Lebanon is bordered by a viscous, racist, and aggressive state called Israel; A state that has invaded Lebanon more than once, occupied part of our country for over 20 year, violates our water ,space, and land on daily bases. If any of those reasons are not good enough to justify a resistance, Than I don’t know what is.
    If my answers insults your intelligence, then consider approaching this argument more objectively. It is not my intention to do so ,lol
