France will re-enact Hariri murder, LBC

LBCI television quoted on Thursday an unnamed French source as denying that France will abolish reenactment of the 2005 explosion that killed former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

As-Safir newspaper quoted earlier Thursday an unnamed French source as saying that Paris was considering canceling the re-enactment.

“After reviewing its accounts following questions over the need for and the benefit behind the reenactment on French territory, Paris was moving toward abolishing reenactment of the Hariri crime,” A French source reportedly told As-Safir.

The crime scene has been completed and, therefore, canceling the reenactment will impact negatively on the reputation of France and its commitments to the United Nations, according to the sources.

Analysts reported that the pro-Syrian newspapers and specially as Safir have been spreading rumors about the the Special Tribunal for Lebanon ( STL) and the UN investigation. Last week prosecutor Daniel Bellemare called the rumors speculation: People should remember this: “Unless they can read into my brain, everything else is just speculation”, he said during an interview.

STL was created by the UN to try the killers of the the former PM and related crimes
