Syria: Hezbollah-Al-Ahbash clash violates Lebanon’s stability

Al-Hayat newspaper reported Monday that Syria said that the Bourj Abi Haidar clash was a violation of Lebanon’s stability.

This comes after the deadly clash that took place last Tuesday night in the Beirut neighborhood of Borj Abi Haidar between supporters of the pro-Syrian Association of Islamic Charitable Projects—also known as Al-Ahbash—and the Iranian backed Hezbollah militants , leading to the death of three people, including Hezbollah official Mohammad Fawwaz, his body guard and an Al-Ahbash member who is the son of a Beirut Mukhtar.

The two parties enjoy warm ties with Damascus.

Al-Hayat said that Syria does not intend to take sides, adding Damascus advised both parties to cooperate with each other to maintain a calm atmosphere.

When I was growing up, my brother and I had many heated battles – even some involving RPGs. Sure we blew up a few homes and cars, but thank god we had our mom to protect us. Just like Syria, she never took sides, and loved us both equally.

Iza Souriya ikhta la Libnan, kiss ikhtak ya libnan!

    1. hey hey….stop right there! Thats no way to speak of a brazzarly nation like that, look at the contributions its given us such as a charitable organization that gives to the needy, a resistance to hijack the country, its own SSNP to nourish libon with its ideology, years of brutality and occupation…..arjouk, lal asaf al shadid, please refrain from hurtful comments to this peaceful nation.

Watch Tony reply to this as dwelling on the past because awhash, mizz’billah and SSNP are so passe from our current situation.

      1. maria you’re so obsessed with me. i’m flattered. if you want a picture of me lemme know so yo u can put it by your bed lol 🙂

theres a big difference between people posting about something that happended a week ago and 30 years ago.

people love to still mention yasser arafat, really? he’s dead man. how much more do you wana kick him?

this incident like i said is an isolated incident and its a good one if you ask me cos it brings more attention to HA arms and al a7bash (what does that mean) and the problem that we face.

theres no such thing as a bad experience. only lessons and gains from them.

you watch how new laws will be written to make lebanon even safer and safer.

it takes time and people are still afraid to drop their weapons cos they still think me included that israel will still attack.

this brotherly comment is used way out of context.

thee was no brotherly anything in that incident. people died and theres people mourning.

what charity organisation has weapons? only in lebanon.
