Explosives found in south Lebanon were not set to explode

High-ranking Lebanese security sources  told al-Hayat newspaper that the large quantity  of explosives found in the southern town of Khiam Dec. 26 were not set to explode. The explosives were found  in 26 sealed boxes painted in green. Each box contained about eight kilograms of TNT, totaling 220 kg  in all, the sources said. They said no wires were found near the explosives , which meant they were not set to explode.Israel says the explosives weighed 300 kg and filed a complaint today with the UN. Israel accused Hezbollah of planting the explosives , which it reported were made either by Iran or Syria
