Iran’s state TV is reporting the country’s president has harshly criticized a recent U.S. court ruling that allows the seizure of Iranian assets.

The Wednesday report on the state TV website quotes President Hassan Rouhani as calling the ruling a blatant theft and an example of enduring American hostility toward Iran.

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the families of victims of a 1983 bombing in Lebanon and other attacks linked to Iran can collect nearly $2 billion of frozen funds from Iran as compensation.

Addressing a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Rouhani added, “The move indicates Washington’s continued hostility against the Iranian nation.”

  1. Iran really has a problem getting along with almost every country out there. They should look within when trying to establish their blame-game. In the end, it is their own damn fault if their economy is consistently a flop and nobody likes the leadership and how they do business (mostly covertly exporting shiite islamic resistance and arming terror cells in other countries).

And you want every country in the world to bend over to US and “Israel” so that you feel safe and happy. Iran is your nightmare but not Saudia. How ironic!

      1. Iran is their own nightmare, that is all. They are their own worst enemy.
But ya, if you want to change the subject to Saudis, they are just as bad, but the article was not about them. I know the people in Iran have no control over the level of fucked up their dictatorship is. I feel bad for them that have to live under such economy and retarded social conditions. People are not he problem, the government is.
Really pick any Islamic government and you will find a dysfunctional system.

Not only Islamic governments that are dysfunctional. Any religious based system is a failure, including secular systems.

          1. I have to agree with much of what you describe there. Islamic countries just seem to be that much further behind because of the limitations of strict sharia law, thus creating gender equality issues that go beyond the point of unfair and in many cases barbaric.

You just need everyone ‘on-line’ with the religion … like, say … Mormons. :-)))

I disagree with all religions. But please don’t tell me a “secular government” like the “civilized world” did not create their own too many laws that make them even worse than religious governments.

True enough. The ‘parking signs’ here have proven to be confusing even to the guys who hand out the tickets (as witnessed by TV News films) – although the tax-collectors say ‘confusion is not an excuse’, and if you get one, the ‘Privatized’ ticket-givers are always right. Some people now work the ticket-costs into their delivery budgets and just pay – a sensible solution most politicians never considered, of course.
Imagine that there are now ‘secular idiots’ who think charging a ‘toll’ to come into a city on a road will actually help the mess they created by not providing free convenient parking.
But I’ll tell you one thing … The people who play drums or bass for a band, or who play a Harp or Timpani or Bass for an orchestra, will have a new religion named ‘HIGHER PAY’ fast when that happens, because ticketers will give you one even while unloading at some of the popular venues. (I’m on the side of folks they say ‘are needed’ in a city.)
OTHERWISE, of course, City-Folk will need to become happy dancing to Flutes and Tin-whistles which can be carried in on the slower inconvenient ‘Public Transit’.
            WHILE I’m on a subject … hehehehehe
‘City kids’ of ANY religion or gang think food grows in smaller but more-expensive packages in the ‘Specialty Convenience Shops’ on the first floor of their vertical human-storage buildings. And now you know why. Secular Laws about parking. Voila.

Are you actually arguing that religious law like Sharia law is better than secular equality? The big problem with religion is that one size does not fit all. There are so many different levels of belief for any religion or the fact that higher educated people tend to believe less than the typical fundamentalist. Now where Islam is concerned , it offers levels unfair and corruptness that can not even the worst western country can match. That is why there are soooo many religions and sooo many gods that one law based on religion is doomed to failure.
