Britain’s opposition leader invited U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who sparked an outcry by calling for a ban on Muslims from entering the United States, to join him on a visit to a London mosque.

The comments from Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, a socialist who represents a multi-ethnic district of north London, come a day before the British parliament debates a motion calling for a ban on half-Scottish Trump from visiting the country.

“I decided to invite Donald Trump on his visit to Britain to come with me to my constituency because he has problems with Mexicans and he has problems with Muslims,” Corbyn told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show.

“As you know my wife is Mexican and my constituency is very, very multi-cultural so what I was going to do was go down to the mosque with him and let him talk to people there,” he said.

The billionaire frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination called for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. following a shooting spree by two Muslims who the FBI said had been radicalized, and has made xenophobic comments about Latinos.

British lawmakers are due to debate on Monday a petition signed by more than half a million people calling for Trump to be barred from Britain, although the debate will not be followed by a vote.

TRUMP BAN MUSLIMSTrump has threatened to cancel over 700 million pounds of investments in golf courses in Scotland if Britain slaps him with a travel ban.

He has also been involved in a spat with the Scottish government over plans they approved for an offshore wind farm project near one of his golf courses, calling former first minister Alec Salmond “an embarrassment to Scotland.”

On Sunday, Salmond, who sits as a lawmaker in the British parliament, told the BBC he would likely support barring Trump from the country.

“He wants to ban all Muslims from the United States. I want to ban all Donald Trumps from Scotland,” he said.

    2. Don’t you dare touch Corbyn, who is, after all, a dear friend of the Glorious Resistance!

HAHAHAHA … Trump doesn’t even like BRITS !! For SURE he doesn’t like people who promote ‘labour’ fairness. And the Scots invented the game of golf without prissy hand-cut ‘quiet’ grasslands. Talking to someone running a Mosque would just blow his mind, for sure. (hmmm … wait a minute …;-)))

“disappointment.” …. Typical British Understatement … you must understand it to appreciate the droll humour in it.

I think the basic concept of ‘allowing’ many of those countries INTO the UN was, if they see how it should be done, they will change – and we should help them – especially with the education.
Something like the ‘Multi-Cult’ idea … it doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

The Camerons and Blairs had no “expectations” but deceit..

  3. CorbLenin should get on very well with Trump. After all they are both big fans of the IRA and the fascist thug Putin.

    1. Comparing Corbyn to Lenin is a bit unfair. After all, the latter was a prolific intellectual, albeit of an especially murderous kind. Corbyn’s brain, on the other hand, seems much closer to that of a Brezhnev (minus the obsession with luxury cars and shining medals).

      1. Agreed; his intellect is much closer to Brezhnev. However he would probably regard the sobriquet I gave him as a compliment! After all he likes to wear Lenin-type hats and adores mass murderers.
        Sunday Times:
‘Corbyn is also one of many on the European far-left as well as the far-right who appears to have swallowed wholesale Russia’s lie that war in Ukraine has been created by Nato, rather than by the ‘separatists’ who have invaded eastern Ukraine and are paid, trained and organised by Russia itself.’
He is of course a conspiracy theorist : very likely indeed to endorse any conspiracy that blames Masons, Jews, the CIA or Mossad for all problems in the world, including 9/11. Buys Russia’s fascist government’s line that it is the victim of a Nato conspiracy : In an article for the Stop War coalition in March 2014 Corbyn opposes providing Ukraine with military support in the wake of the Maidan revolution, and repeats the ridiculous Russian claims that it was Nato scheming that lay at the heart of the crisis.

    Trump for president!

    Best lines:

To Jeb Bush: “Your brother’s administration gave us Barack Obama because it was such a disaster those last 3 months that Abraham Lincoln couldn’t get elected.”

“Rich people are rich because they solve difficult problems. You must learn to thrive on problems.”

“A nation WITHOUT BORDERS is not a nation at all. We must have a wall. The rule of law matters.”

At the Republican Jewish Coalition’s Presidential Forum: “You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money. If I wanted your money, I think I’d have a damned good chance. You know the money I have turned down?”
