Three people were killed after lightning struck a prefabricated house in the Metn town of Mar Chaaya, National News Agency (NNA) reported on Thursday .
NNA quoted security sources as saying that a lightning bolt hit the prefab home early in the morning causing a natural gas cylinder to explode and setting off a fire that killed 77-year-old Habib Sabaalani, his sister, 72, and his daughter, 40.
The prefab house belongs to Mar Chaaya monastery in the Metn region of Brummana, Mount Lebanon, where Mr Sabaalani worked.
