Lebanese Pharmacist abducted in Zahle, ransom demanded

Pharmacist Wissam al-Khatib, was abducted in front of his pharmacy on the main road in Karak , Zahle ( of the Beqaa region in East Lebanon) while he was about to open, by unknown assailants riding in a light blue color car, LBC reported on Sunday.

The report added that this is the second time that Khatib was exposed to a kidnapping attempt, but the first time failed.

Update: BCI reported that the kidnappers of the pharmacist Wissam al-Khatib telephoned his family and demanded a $500,000 ransom.
