Hezbollah tells Israel: We are coming

hezbollah banner - we are comingAnatolia news agency reported that ย Hezbollah ย displayed ย a large banner near the border with Israel that reads: “we are coming” in ย both Arabic and Hebrew.

Lebanese newspaper al-Akhbar which is closely affiliated with Hezbollah , reported also that the militant group is planning to hold a ceremony marking the Al-Quds Day in the hill where the banner was hoisted.

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will be appearing on TV on Friday to deliver a speech that will be marking Al-Quds Day according to the daily.

Al -Quds Day, officially known in Iran as International Quds Day , is an annual event that was conceived originally in 1979 by the leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. It is held on the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and opposing Zionism as well as Israel’s control of Jerusalem; Al-Quds is that city’s Arabic name.

Quds Day is also commemorated in several countries in the Arab and Muslim world with protests against the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem.

Lebanese men put up a large billboard sponsored by Hezbollah reading in Arabic (top) and Hebrew (bottom), "we are coming" as they prepare for al-Quds day celebrations on August 1, 2013 in the village of Wazzani on the border between Lebanon and Israel. Wow they posted it in wazzani, yet they sent their brigades to fight the zionists in Qusair & Homs.

Either that billboard belongs to Syrian/Lebanese border in Hermel, or they should re-orient their brigades to move south toward Israel. But you cant blame Nasrallah. He has bad reception underground.

It is just propaganda ! After what HA did in 2006 they would not dare to fire a bullet on Israel. The question is why now and what is point of this banner ? Come to think of it: I would say this banner is just a reminder for the Arabs (specifically Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, Egypt, and Hamas) that it is HA who fought Israel and if need be would fight Israel and that you “Arab wimps” cannot be against us because if you are against us you are siding with Israel. So you Arabs stop your campaign against HA because you are “shooting yourselves in the foot”. Personally, I believe this is the purpose of this banner: A message to the Petro-Arabs, Heavy Weight Egypt, and brother HAMAS.

Well Syed, actually, if you simply wish to live. At the moment, some don’t feel they are living at all … more like the walking dead waiting only for the starving body to give out.

        1. Seriously is it just me or what? We had one of our troops killed a few days ago the army has apparently arrested someone in connection with it and yalibnan put up articles like this instead? I mean seriously they’ve been putting up posters like this for 20 years….in the north they hang up nusra posters and Israel has built a wall so they probably can’t see it anyway? How about some real news?

            I hear you Dateam … I think it’s something about a ‘slow-news’ month. ๐Ÿ˜‰
And who cares about Quds and Whey ??? It’s all cheesy news….
The one thing I don’t like is a bit of ‘new-news’ followed by a pile of the history we already know and see in every article. Difficult to believe anyone doesn’t know there’s a war going on is Syria, for instance, with lots of refugees. But they keep explaining that … sigh …

And on the ‘Snowden’ story you are going to see tons of ‘angst’ stories about relations between Russia and USA …. with the ‘news’ there was a guy named Snowden who escaped the USA way back in ….. ๐Ÿ˜‰
These days, it’s ‘Action-Figure Putin’ (healthy thin strong Russian) VS ‘Captain America’ who got flabby and sits around watching theoretical news. :-)))

Reading through your comments we get the feeling that you really want to be a Ya Libnan volunteer. We will welcome any article you may want to publish at Ya Libnan . Just email to infoyalibnan .com.

We would have loved to write stories about the millions of tourists that have flooded Lebanon this summer, and how downtown Beirut restaurants are flooded with customers from all over the world and how the Lebanese economy is flourishing and how safe Lebanon has been for the past several months and how the dissociation policy is distancing Lebanon from the violence next door and how effective the new cabinet of PM designate has been…we can go on and on…. but unfortunately this is not there unless you know something that we don’t . We also realize you are fed up with the news about Syria and the refugees ( as evident from another comment you made) and so are we but don’t you think that the fact Lebanon will have over 2 million Syrians by year end should concern you and all of us in Lebanon? Don’t you think that the fact that several Lebanese towns and villages have more Syrians than Lebanese should concern all of us ? Just think about this!

We would hate to lose you as a very valuable Ya Libnan reader and contributor but if you find a better news website grab it

I must say that last two lines sounds a little overly-defensive. We ARE, after all, still popping in here. But yes, when there IS no good news, we get tired of seeing nothing of ‘the situations’ changing for the better … and sometimes rail at the bearers of bad tidings, or sometimes wish to shoot the messengers. ๐Ÿ˜‰
But after 3 years, I think those who have cared, including you, are getting a little edgy. And I am sure Dateam is not talking about Ghassan’s articles.
Advise him that more ‘local news’ can be seen in the ‘Daily Star’ …..
            And I’m doing a ‘copy-paste’ of the above address … ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. Whoopee, a banner like all the other Hezbollah banners – it’s a very slow news day for Ya Libnan. Whenever Hezbollah or Tehran want to regain support, they try using Palestine and spouting their ‘resistance’ babble. They have large numbers of long-range missiles and other serious weapons in Syria: when they fire those at Tel Aviv instead of at Syrians and Palestinian-Syrians, we might be able to believe them – but all they fire is words, and Tel Aviv isn’t bothered about incoming rhetoric.
