Kuwait Red Crescent Society is organizing Iftar meals for Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon to alleviate their suffering during the Holy month of Ramadan, Kuna reported on Thursday.
Head of the KRCS Barjas Al-Barjas told the press Thursday the Syrian scene needs a humanitarian attention and support to ease the daily hardships.
The distribution of meals, serving more than 30,000 persons, is seen through a collaboration by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Jordan’s Red Crescent and Lebanon’s Red Cross.
KRCS allocated five Iftar locations in Jordan: Madaba, Al Karak, Al-Naima, Al-Torah and Al-Shajara. In Lebanon, meanwhile, Bekka, Saida and Tripoli were chosen to host the Iftar dinner.
Offering Iftar meals is part of Ramadan’s spirit to promoting social responsibility and commitment toward helping the underprivileged, Al-Barjas concluded.
