LOL, no Anti, I am from the Shouf region, the jewel of the Lebanese Mountains. Well that is where my father is from and my mother is from the North of Lebanon, the crown of Lebanon. But I love Zahle, everytime I go to Lebanon, Zahle is a must. Zahle has produced a lot of noble and poetic people among them Saïd Akl, Khalil Farhat, Michel Trad, Riad Maalouf, Joseph Sayegh, Joseph Abi-Tàan, Emily Nasrallah, Anis Moussallem, Amal Freiha and Raymond Kassis, El-Imam Moussa As-Sader, Salim Haïdar, Assad Diab, Jamil Farhat, Najib Jamal-Eddine, Ali Sharaf and Jaoudat Haïdar. I do not know half of these poets, but on my way to getting to know them.

Oh it is, that’s why they call it 3aroos al biqaa.
My cousin who added the second sentence above, fought alongside the late Bashir Gemayel when they defended Zahle against syrian aggression. They sure showed them what real men are made of. There are a few youtube videos about the Zahle battles if you are interested, even if you are not a Bashir supporter, you might find them interesting.

I always had respect for Bashir (RIP). He was one of the very few honorable men in Lebanon. As for the Youtube clips, I will defiantly look them up.

Maybe they thought it was an aerial assault. A flock of birds (rare sight) was spotted flying nearby just before the attack. After all those years of indiscriminate hunting of the local avian population the hunters have been on edge. “The Revenge of the Birds’ playing soon at a theatre near you!

  5. Having read this I thought it was extremely enlightening.
I appreciate you finding the time and effort
to put this information together. I once again find myself personally spending way too much time both reading and posting comments.
But so what, it was still worth it!
