Egyptian Muslim sentenced to death for killing 2 Christians

An Egyptian court sentenced a Muslim man to death Monday for killing two Christians during a clash in Upper Egypt in November 2011.

Local government sources said that the Sohag Criminal Court referred Mahmoud Abdel Nazir’s sentence to the grand mufti for approval.

Abdel Nazir was convicted of killing the two Christians after storming their homes in the village of Ghraizat, located in Sohag Governorate’s Maragha township.

The violence started when a Christian man beat Abdel Nazir’s brother to death with an iron rod after a fight over the right to use a road in the village, according to state-run news agency MENA.

Abdel Nazir reportedly attacked several homes and shops belonging to the Christian man’s relatives and also killed a farmer and a local merchant in retaliation. Two other people were also injured and Abdel Nazir burned down several homes.

The case highlighted rising tensions between Muslims and Christians in Egypt since former President Hosni Mubarak’s overthrow in 2011.

Christians have complained about several attacks on their churches, which they say were carried out by radical Islamists. Tensions between Muslims and Christians also flare up periodically in rural areas, often aggravated by family feuds or love affairs between members of the two religions.

President Mohamed Morsy, who is from the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, has pledged to protect the rights of Christians, who account for at least 10 percent of Egypt’s population.

    Abdel on a rant … slight overkill? ‘The right to use a road’??? Also overkill.
    So .. Somewhere In wonderful Lebanon … (near Tripoli of course 😉 … There was a guy on a rare flat piece of road practicing ‘acrobatic-riding’ on his motorcycle – standing on the seat as it went down the road. (no protective gear, of course) A car came along the road … maybe he didn’t like the look of it, or it was interrupting his practice… (the nurse who had to clean up the blood messing her floor told me she didn’t know exactly why) … and so, he pulled out his ’45’ or whatever and took a shot. We can probably assume the car didn’t stop as the recoil blew him off the bike and he found out that pavement (etc) can be like sandpaper.
    No country is without it’s idiots. 🙂

    Islam does not believe or apply the 10 commandments !!! Among them “Thou shall not kill”….The prophet of Islam said: “Kill, Kill everyone who does not believe in Allah AND in his messenger”. So these poor muslim villagers are applying what their prophet taught them, as the blood of christians is halal for them. Yet still the majority does not apply these rules because they have more human values and mercy than mohammad himself. Mohammad equated himself with God and changed his name to Mohammad to force others to worship him. His original name was “Kothom”, and mohammad and mahmoud were adjectives relative to God because only God “nahmuduhu” and is al-mohammad and al-mahmoud.

        The Christian creed says God from God… In Islam: “wa nafa5na fiihi min ruu7inna”… Jesus is part human dwelling amongst men so he may communicate with them and part God (The Holly Ghost)… It is blasphemy to separate them as different entity (ishraak) therefore like water (Jesus) vapor (Holly Spirit) and Ice (God) they are all one in different form. They can never be worshipped individually as they are one.

        Your second mistake is that the birth of Jesus was not like any other birth… Born from a virgin (Koran) to be with men, died with purpose to be resurrected where the power of the Christian message is in the resurrection.
        Finally, Constantin and Anti try to find the commonalities between the two religions you will be amazed how many you will find and shake hands on those rather than argue on the few trivial differences. Pope Francis recently asked for a dialogue between Islam and Christianity. No cleric yet answered his call from the other camp probably because they are afraid of being gunned down by those fanatics who think they understand their religion and yet the Koran says:

          Are you telling me that if a cleric were to agree to to dialogue the muslim community will ever flourish? Will france get the hell out of malli and mind its business will america leave afghanistan and iraq and stop the raping and killing? Will the african rebel movement stop blowing up mosques? Will the miyanmar government punish those responsible for the killing of the innocent tens and thousands and muslims? Will a muslim or christian mind you be allowed to use the internet or go and pray 5 times a day like his religion tells him in a mosque let alone on the street without being stalked? If you know your history you know sharia will allow the christians and the jews to flourish like they did in egypt with there own law to rule the people.             Those wars are not religious wars… But yes I do believe a dialogue will establish a lot of common grounds. But in a secular country where I cannot practice my religion why do you grieve your own? This coming Friday my kid is off at home alone (It is Good Friday a Christian Holiday) and I have to go to work because where I work is a state job secular and non-observant. If you work in a moslem institution they may allow you to pray 5 times a day. I worked in a company where my next cubicle neighbor a moslem artificial intelligence engineer prayed 5 times a day and nobody bothered him. Yes you will find assholes in this world but the dialogue is not to resolve the problems of politics but to build the future on our commonalities where we are so very similar.

            I agree the error is on both ends one party is always on the short end of a stick but see the thing with this dialogue i work through easter without double pay wich is what im supposed to get as an australian and i am the one who refuses as i will make me hypocritic since i dont celebrate and not allowed to take off my eid.             The Benefit of Protecting Global Markets

            Even if we assume for the sake of argument that the military budget actually is a subsidy to oil, we would have to assume that the subsidy applies to the global oil market and not just our own. We have taken on the role of global sheriff because world peace is good for business. The cargo containers flow from ships to rail and vice verse day and night at our sea ports. Allow the flow of energy to our trading partners to be reduced (a global price hike) and you will cut that flow of cargo containers.

            Japan is experiencing some serious economic trouble at the moment largely because they are importing so much fossil fuel energy thanks to having their nuclear off line. We certainly wouldn’t want their supply of energy tripped up (through a global price hike) because, ironically, the technology developed in the Prius and Leaf hold the keys to our own liquid fuel independence.

            The computers we type on would be of much lower quality and cost a great deal more were it not for this global market. Cars, tools, bikes, monitors, computers, and much of the food we eat come from trading partners who are also dependent on affordable supplies of energy.
            Who do you want as the world police Russia, China, Iran or the Arabs….good choosessssss…lol

            Good for you champ for helping i myself also travel to help muslims and christians, you have named only countries but will do my research to see how far this goes as i know there are some loonies that do stupid stuff like that as there are christians. Like the african loonies blowing up mosques, the new world wide constitution of shoot to kill if a man has a beard and you are suspicious of him being terrorist. Ive seen it myself i was arrested in zgharta because i had a beard lol and trying to reach that soldier for a nice law suit but now he is on holiday and cant be reached doesnt surprise me. You cant rant about being oppressed because ive said clearly both sides are in error but the only solution is for sacrofice as a muslim our teaching is actually to love you guys so long as there is no ware being waged upon us wich is reasonable and we only go to war when rights are being broken wich conflict with our religion. And its our part to respect the leader no matter who he is until shit hits the fan rights are broken. If we dont protect our own peoples rights nobody will.             Some ‘Orders’ of nuns have uniforms. Others do not, or don’t need to wear them all the time. None of them cover a face. And France is a Roman Catholic country anyway.

            The only recent rule was about face-covering. No-one stops anyone from wearing clothes … even black bed-sheets are ok … and at the beach they can also take them all off – if they wish. Seems ‘fair’ and equitable to me. 🙂

Allow the flow of energy to our trading partners to be reduced (a global price hike) and you will cut that flow of cargo containers.

            Japan is experiencing some serious economic trouble at the moment largely because they are importing so much fossil fuel energy thanks to having their nuclear off line. We certainly wouldn’t want their supply of energy tripped up (through a global price hike) because, ironically, the technology developed in the Prius and Leaf hold the keys to our own liquid fuel independence.

            The computers we type on would be of much lower quality and cost a great deal more were it not for this global market. Cars, tools, bikes, monitors, computers, and much of the food we eat come from trading partners who are also dependent on affordable supplies of energy.
            Who do you want as the world police Russia, China, Iran or the Arabs….good choosessssss…lol

You say that Islam has also the 10 commandments, this is a complete lie, because one of the commandment says also you shall not envy your neighbors wife. Mohammad saw his adoptive son’s wife naked, he issued an aya that God told him adoption is forbidden, dis-owned his son, asked him to divorce his wife, and married her just to satisfy his lust. This is a messenger from GOD ? Mohammad did not kill innocents just because they did not believe in him ? Mohammad did not curse christian and jews and asked the sahaba before his death to curse the jews and christians and transform their temples and churches into mosques ? This is how the burial site of Abraham in Palestine (El-KHALIL) which is a jewish pilgimage was transformed to a mosque, this how the temple mount in Jerusakem was transformed to a mosque, this is how the Cathedral of St-John the baptist in Damascus, was transformed to the Ommeyad Mosque (where the tomb of St-John the baptist is still there and muslims called him Nabi Yahya), this is how the church of Aya Sophia in Istanbul (the biggest Cathedral in the world at the time) was transformed to a mosque by the invading Turks, this is how one of the mosques downtown Beirut used to be the church of St-John the Baptist, before the Mamaleek transformed it to a Mosque.
      By the way, all my information on Islam, I am learning it from Al-Hayat TV where ex-muslims are revealing the disastrous stories about Islam and its messenger, I am not inventing anything from my head. Go on the net and check it: Islamexplained.com, abnsat, etc… I am shocked by what I am hearing and learning, how come educated muslims are not shocked ? Believing blindly in a man who proclaimed himself a messenger from God, while his actions show clearly he was not, is the biggest insult to the human brain which God gave us to use and think and analyze and distinguish between good and evil and right and wrong. Leave the fanaticism apart and just think and use your brain and especially go and read YOUR muslim books (al boukhari, al tabari, the Kuran, the Hadith and the Sirat al-nabi). Then come and read the bible and see the difference, Jesus Christ says love your ennemies, bless your cursors, etc…. the complete opposite message of Islam and its messenger.

          Lefthanded, just be open minded and think and don’t believe anything that is against logic and regular human values that all humanity believe in. You know how Jesus Christ lived and you know how mohammad lived, you judge whose life is more noble and spiritual ? The disciples of Jesus asked him: ” Will there be other prophets coming after you Master ?”
          and Jesus answered: “There will be many prophets who will come after me, but all of them will be fake prophets, you will know them from their fruits (i.e. actions), they will talk as lambs and act like wolves” . What does a wolf do ? He kills and steals the innocent lambs and sows confusion and trouble. This is exactly what Mohammad did up till our day even between muslims themselves he implanted the confusion, trouble and wars….
          Yes there are christian criminals, the biggest criminals in history were christians but these were born christians and they were not following Jesus’ teachings and commandments, and there will be other christian criminals too, but the good word of the Lord remains intact and for ever the same. In this holy Friday where the Lord suffered and gave his life so that humans can get a LIFE, a true one, I leave you in peace to reflect on these thoughts.
          Strange Mohammad killed others to believe in him, but Jesus gave his life in order for others to LIVE and know the Truth, the Way and the LIfe.He rose on the 3rd day from the tomb to conquer over death and over the human sins that he paid his life for.

            The little that I know about Mohammad is enough to question him as a prophet ! In this era of the internet all masks have fallen you can know whatever you want on anyone and on anything with the push of a button. I am sure you know too a lot about your prophet but for reasons of pride and spite you would not admit them to me or in public.
            You want an example of Killing: Al-Fatih al-islami, what is it other than a religious war to islamize others by force and war. Where there is war there is killing.

            Christianity does not say that the earth is flat and that it is the centre of the universe ? I thought Islam says that the earth is flat (but not sure…). Don’t forget Iraniangel that ALL the scientific books in your hands are written and created by Kuffar (Christian or jews) muslims have not contributed any real scientific invention for the last thousand years to humanity, all the technology around you is made by Kuffar (including this medium), how could people who literally invented sciences and went to the moon and know for sure that the earth is round and say it is flat ?             some may think that this thread is getting too old to keep it alive, even so i got to answer this one especially due to the fact that this post is hilarious.

            Imma start telling that i respect all koffars and i really appreciate their contributions to humanity, well as an iraniAngel i have to since 80 % of us are non-muslims (koffars), making irAngel the only non-muslim country in the region apart from israel.

            My appreciation applies also to the koffars in the west who have advanced adimerably over the past centuries. I totally agree that muslims are the most incompentent people living on the surface on earth. dont think for a moment that i am proud of being a muslims… i am ashamed! if you read my previous comments you would know that, but being ashamed of the lack of muslim contributions to world doesnt mean that imma convert to your fake religion. islam is the only true religion in the world. DId you know that the vast majority of the north europeans consider themselves non-christians? did you know that 16 % of the americancers are atheists? did you know that buddhism is the largest religion in some northern europeans countries.       Why is it in many countries in the ME you get punished for holding a bible, You can not build a church, You can not practice your faith in the open, where people have to go underground to pray as a group… tell me how many churches have been bombed and when one stupid person burns thier book the world turns upside down. HOW MANY churchs in Africa in the past 10 years have been burned down with Christians inside them, tell me where the ignorance is…I have seen with my own eyes……
      In western countries there is a mosque where ever you want it, in America there are over 2000 of them.
      Can you build a church in saudi Arabia ha can you, can you drink a beer where you want to, can a women dress the way she wants to, can you as a Christian go into Mecca… where is the IGNORANCE AND HATE.. I have no hate for muslims my best friend and his family and many more are like my family…So why is it that when in the WEST when they have LAWS we all follow them and abide by them and a Muslim can practice and have free speech and choose to drive or not to drive. Why is it when France says no vails the world JUMPS UP AND DOWN,….where is the ignorance TELL ME who is talking about HATE…… WE have to live by thier LAWS but they want to change our LAWS in the west wow WHERE IS THE IGNORANCE, apologize they are killing each other, look at Iraq today 117 shiites in a mosque killed by other Muslims while they pray…..this is not about hate it is about facts..
