7 men beheaded in Saudi Arabia for stealing

Share:

Seven men were executed by beheading Wednesday in Saudi Arabia for stealing, according to SPA, the official Saudi New agency.

The deaths came a day after the United Nations called for the kingdom not to carry out the punishment, in part because the men had allegedly not been given fair trails. The U.N. said the men were reportedly accused of organizing a criminal group, armed robbery, raiding and breaking into jewelry stores in 2005.

The U.N. special rapporteur on torture, Juan E. Mendez, said there are also grave concerns that the men were tortured during detention and forced to sign confessions.

“This is not the only in breach of Saudi Arabia’s international obligations under international law, which imposes an outright prohibition on torture, it is also in breach of the government’s international obligation under the Convention against Torture that explicitly forbids the use of all forms of torture for the purpose of extracting confessions or acquiring information,” he said.

SPA issued a statement on behalf of the Ministry of Interior that starts with a Quranic verse from the chapter “The Table Spread.”

“The punishment of those who wage war against God and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.”

So, even though i used to be a supporter of israel till israel allowed this eunuch joumblatte to massacre the christians in the mountains, the slam that israel got on its face by hizbollah made me become proud of them and i would be a traitor not to support them.

          14. Hannibal Avatar

I am not a supporter of the Islamist FSA… I am 100% against them and yes if they attack Hezbollah I do wish they will get a beating. That being said I am 100% against Assad and his gang… THERE MUST BE A THIRD SOLUTION… AN INTELLIGENT THIRD that represents the aspirations of the silent majority. Enough bullshit already. We ALL need peace and religiously organized militias and gangs will never give us peace and Israel is a proof of it because their banner is a religious banner.

Second answer … the country is FULL of IDIOTS. Tripoli night-music again. 🙁
Side with a ‘Lebanese Army’. And help it to work.
Hezzy didn’t help anything by stopping any government function when they only got 2 seats in an election. (Not that gov’t seems to function anyway.) But there goes an election … even if the whole ‘democratic’ process is fouled up anyway.
As for ‘the other side’, whichever that is out of 18 sects, they lost a bit of steam with Hariri trying to make statements from afar … although as the ONE honest and FOR LEB Policeman found out, it can be dangerous to be ‘secular’ and fair in practicing ‘law’ evenly and equally in the damned place.
With Syria and ‘fellow travellers’ doing their damndest to make a war everywhere, I’m going with ‘The Army’ … And Geagea says some things that make sense.
Basically, I agree with Ghassan … but we will never see a secular government structure.
And there you go … enough ‘Confession’ for you AssAoudi ????
If anything changes, I’ll adjust as always. That is my freedom. 😉

          18. Hannibal Avatar

I agree… But HA’s question did not involve an Army although at the end of my answer I did hint to a majority of votes and that yield at least usually to a democratically elected government and in the absence of illegal arms to a National Army to defend the country…

Hannibal … his original question was ‘which camp would you side with?’.
            I liked boy-scout camp way back when … 😉
But yes … there are SO many questions within his diatribes it’s impossible to give a ‘one answer’. The overall concept of that elusive democracy and freedom of thought … wrapped in tons of tiny stupidities … becomes impossible to discuss. We need to start at the simple … NOT the overly complicated.

wrong, there was only one question with a one word answer; the answer would have been either i stand with Lebanon and hizbollah or i stand with the FSA against Lebanon and hizbollah. Till now you did not dare to give an answer, and despite the insultive attitude hannibal had against me, i still value his position when he said with a lot of courage: i will stand with hizbollah. Unfortunately you seem too politically involved and unable to have a free decision, my question cornered you and till now you are still uttering incomprehensible words or jumping into poetry and stuttering songs rather than saying either A or B. Again, would you please be obliged and have the kindness to answer either option A or option B. A is defend hizbollah, B is defend FSA. One letter please, no rhymes and no poetry. A or B. Thank you in advance.
P.S: You are allowed to have help from ghassan and geagea if you feel incompetent to answer the question. Thus it is an open book exam.
Hint: Being used to american type MCQ exams, when i had a final with T or F answers and i did not know the answer, i would pick up one haphasardly; probability wise you got 50% chance of having a right guess better than a guaranteed zero if you do not answer. Mind you we wont withdraw points if you have a wrong answer. Anyhow your score is at a nadir, cant go lower… you got absolutely nothing to lose, on the contrary all to gain!!!

salad (salade nicoise), subjective feelings put into a poem; assembling your words and translating them into arabic would give: AWIHA 3ALA GEAGEA; AWIHA 3ALA GHASSAN; AWIHA ……WIWIWIIWWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWI” Honestly i did not get a word of your diatribe except that you see idiots everywhere; i wonder what would you say when you look at the mirror; you excluded two (i was hoping you would exclude yourself) from kleinefelter syndrome: a criminal bandit and crook called geagea, and ghassan which i hope is your son. I forgot a third one was excluded, hariri: essentially he is not an idiot, but he lost a barely noticeable slice by making very intelligent statements from afar. (as far as i could understand from your salad)
You did not answer the question at all.
One point i would draw to your attention which you mentioned en passant:: “support the army”‘ sure, none would argue this and i do not know if this is worth to mention in the context of my question but, and here allow me to jump into another topic: if america gives part of the weapons they are giving to the FSA (or facilitating its transit to fsa) to the lebanese army, that would be enough to give us a reliable and strong army. The corollary to this is: didnt you think it suspicious, you and your brain HQ of geagea, ghassan and hariri, that america refused to give the lebanese army sophisticated weapons, because america is afraid these weapons (in the hands of the lebanese army) would be used against israel, while america is giving or facilitating the transport of sophisticated weapons to the syrian opposition and these weapons are today in the hands of alquaeda??!!!!!!! so that is not suspicious to your eyes which see idiots everywhere, and you do not think the summum of intelligentia you represent was duped!!!!and you do not smell anything fishy in it. lol
N.B: As we say in the dutch part of Sint Maartin, summum of intelligentia = het neusje van the zalm, an expression litterally translated into english means the little nose of the salmon to mean the cream of cream

P.S: ammerica allowed only hummers and M16″s to be delivered to the lebanese army so that officers like emile lahoud (very unfortunately a friend of mine) can smoke cigars in saloons after swimming; the M16 is for their bodyguards and the hummers (with raybans please) for the tinmeer….

The above from the guy who said: “i urge you to show me one place where i was uncivil”.
But I expected it anyway. (And the pig-count actually reached 12,000 by now – amazing)
I did not say the Americans were less idiotic. They are at least as brainwashed, generally.
You asked ONE question. And I told you what I support. Because it is trying and always has.
I remember visiting an ‘army’ friend in a sleepy mountain village at the time when the military had no weapons and little morale thanks to Syria. He grew vegetables, and read books, and on occasion the troops gathered together to go play ‘boy scout’ somewhere as an ‘exercise’ – trying to keep ‘in shape’. They were volunteers FOR Lebanon. Not for any particular god or idiot concept of ‘anti-jew’ mentality. They helped citizens when needed – as they could – anywhere. And he smiled at the silliness of the whole thing, but stayed in. Waiting to serve.
Some actually do – although it seems too many only wish to be served.
As usual you now throw in 15 other subjects which you call ‘a topic’, in a scrambled ‘lot’ – and expect an easy answer for all of them. The ‘educated possibly ‘liberal’ man’ who usually hates to fund a military which would protect him as a citizen, but will go to great lengths to tell everyone ‘how it should be’. Well, we all know how it SHOULD be.
There should be fewer idiots everywhere, for one thing.
My ‘freedom’ is to be able to change my mind. I’m not stuck in an emotional limbo.
And, by the way, a fine cigar with the scotch is time well spent.

We ALL need peace and religiously organized militias and gangs will never give us peace and Israel is a proof of it because their banner is a religious banner.

well, even though i used to fight against assad, in retreospective i believe our war as a minority against assad was stupid; am not going to dwell on it but it is just a question of timing

I agree… But HA’s question did not involve an Army although at the end of my answer I did hint to a majority of votes and that yield at least usually to a democratically elected government and in the absence of illegal arms to a National Army to defend the country…

wrong, there was only one question with a one word answer; the answer would have been either i stand with Lebanon and hizbollah or i stand with the FSA against Lebanon and hizbollah. Till now you did not dare to give an answer, and despite the insultive attitude hannibal had against me, i still value his position when he said with a lot of courage: i will stand with hizbollah. Unfortunately you seem too politically involved and unable to have a free decision, my question cornered you and till now you are still uttering incomprehensible words or jumping into poetry and songs rather than saying either A or B. Again, would you please be obliged and have the kindness to answer either option A or option B. A is defend hizbollah, B is defend FSA. One letter please, no rhymes and no poetry.Thank you in advance.

salad, subjective feelings put inrto a poem; assembling your words and translating them into arabic would give: AWIHA 3ALA GEAGEA; AWIHA 3ALA GHASSAN; AWIHA ……WIWIWIIWWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWIWI” Honestly i did not get a word except that you see idiots everywhere; i wonder what would you say when you look at the miurror; you excluded two (i was hoping you would excxlude yourself) from kleinefelter syndrome: a criminal bandit and crook called geagea, and ghassan which i hope is your son. I forgot a third one was excluded, hariri: essentially he is not an idiot, but he lost a barely noticeable by making very intrelligent statements from afar

And, by the way, a fine cigar with the scotch is time well spent.

sorry you cant take the heat of it, and i do understand calling me pig, however when i see your behaviour, i feel to be called a pig by you is by far elogeous. I reiterate and challenge you to show me where i was uncivil. Now if you want me to put gloves to speak with you, then please do the same and do not call me pig at least even though as i said before i do not care and coming from you, i repeat, it is elogeous. Last but not least, obviously you do not know how it should be since you are stuck and fixated to this geagea thingy

This is outrageous. These men were juveniles when they arrested, some as young as 15 .
The authorities obtained confession under torture, submitted them to some trial without any legal defense, and then carried out their execution by a firing squad because fewer people are willing to carry out beheading.
They have executed 34 people so far this year.Last year 76 people were executed, the year before 79. That’s an average of 6 to 7 people a month. Some executions are carried out by crucifixions.
Backward regime,Inhuman regime, Hypocrite regime, cruel regime…………..

It’s funny how these sickening actions committed by Saudi Arabia are never told to us by any mainstream channel. My father used to tell me if it wasn’t for the oil they’ d still be living in tents. Yemen is a perfect example of a Saudi Arabia without oil. None the less very sickening these actions by the Saudi government.
