SNC confirms that FSA behind Damascus assassinations

Syrian National Council (( SNC) member Bashar al-Aharaki told LBCI: “We know for sure that the Free Syrian Army (FSA) is the one behind the assassinations in Damascus , but security needs call for non-disclosure of the plan at the moment and the morale of the militia of the Assad regime is at all time low”

Syrian SANA TV reported yesterday that the blast at the National Security building in Damascus killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajha; Assad’s brother-in-law, Assef Shawkat , Syria’s intelligence chief and a close confidant of the Syrian president; and former Defense Minister Hassan Turkmani.

Jamaat Liwaa al-Islam organization was the first to claim responsibility for Damascus bombing according to Lebanese LBC TV

    Everybody wants to be in on the ‘claims’ for a successful venture. 🙂

      you took the words out of my mouth…noone claimed responsibility when normal people on both sides were killed yet now there are 2 groups claiming glory…lets be realistic i think this was too sophisticated an operation for fsa who claim to always be out gunned and armed???? this is big boys coming out to play now their are governments involved now….

    When the truth comes out, however, a monument to the bravery of those involved should be erected on the grounds of the presidential palace there in Damascus!
