Annan concerned over ‘Alarming levels’ of Syria casualties

UNITED NATIONS : International envoy Kofi Annan said that he is concerned that violence is clearly continuing in Syria, with “alarming levels” of casualties being reported daily.

Annan told the U.N. General Assembly in a videoconference briefing from Geneva on Thursday that Syria has informed him of a partial withdrawal from several towns and cities, but he said more far-reaching action is “urgently needed.”

He appealed for an immediate end to all violence and a speedy start to an inclusive political dialogue involving all Syrian parties.

    Still only ¨concerned¨!What is more tragic is to see that no one is doing anything to stop these cruel brutal killings,dead bodies covered in blood and soldiers stepping on their faces with their heavy boots,children of all ages lying in their blood surrounded by screaming mothers,brothers and sisters etc.etc…!!!

    le ya 3ammi how can you have a dialogue with a monster?
    how can you have dialogue with a butcher who have shoved aside all attempts for dialogue so far?

    how can you suggest for dialogue between a victim and a murderer?
    has anyone suggested milosovic to have dialogue with bosnians?
    has anyone suggested hitler to have dialogue with the jews?
    has anyone suggested for Qaddafi to have dialogue with his pple?

    why everyone now wants Assad and his victims to have dialogue while all it takes is some courage and a stand for human values for once away from selfish common intrests

    How much longer the world leaders will fall to the Syrian Regimes trickery, I do not understand, the Regime’s thinking is as soon as they show weakness toward the protesters it will be the end of the Regime, it is as simple as that.
