Lebanon Prime Minister Najib Mikati headed on Monday evening a meeting of the ministerial committee charged with reviewing the offers presented by companies for renting power-generating ships, National News Agency reported.
The meeting was attended by ministers Mohammad Safadi, Gebran Bassil, Nazem Khoury and experts from the Environment and Energy Ministries.
Following the meeting Bassil told reporters that “even if the power-generating ships are rented , this does not mean that all of Lebanon will be enjoying full electricity coverage in the summer.”
