Arab League asks for Hamas help with Syria

The head of the Arab League said Friday he had asked the Damascus-based leader of the Palestinian movement Hamas to ask the Syrian government to work to halt violence in the country.

Arab League Secretary General Nabil Elaraby was speaking alongside Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal after a meeting in Cairo.

“I gave him a message today to the Syrian authorities that it is necessary to work with integrity, transparency and credibility to halt the violence that is happening in Syria,” he said.

  5. The Arab League should also consider asking Hezbollah to assist in quelling the violence in Syria. These morons at the Arab League must be pretty desperate to be asking Hamas. Once gain, prove that the Arab League is failed organization.

    1.  I dont think its as much a failed organization, as one with a failure to set priorities right.Thats what makes me so mad about them bashing Israel all the time at the drop of a hat, yet it takes a committee 8 months to come up with a finger wag and a no on this. they are still wringing their hands and wiping their foreheads.
