MTV reported on Sunday that the bodyguards of Free and United Lebanon bloc MP Estephan Douaihy assaulted Lebanese citizen Hussein al-Falyti because he was driving slowly in front of the MP’s car on the Jounieh highway.
The Free and United Lebanon bloc is headed by MP Suleiman Franjieh who is allied with MP Michel Aoun in the Change and Reform bloc
According to MTV, Falyti “confirmed” that the MPs’ bodyguards exited the car, insulted him and struck his head.
MTV also reported that after it reported the incident earlier today, MP Douaihy contacted the station’s chairman, MP Michel al-Murr, “insulted and threatened him.” for reporting the incident
