Jumblatt accuses Syria of using Lebanon to attack France

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt called the firing of the rocket from south Lebanon ” a message addressed from our neighbors to France”.

His comment comes hours after French foreign minister accused Syria of involvement in Friday’s bomb attack on French peacekeepers in southern Lebanon.

A rocket was fired from Wadi el Qaiseyah in south Lebanon on Sunday evening and reportedly landed by mistake in Hula area of south Lebanon near the Israeli border

According to media reports the rocket landed on the house of Abdullah Mahmoud and resulted in the wounding of Lebanese citizen Nazira Abbas who was taken to a nearby hospital in Mays al Jabal for treatment

Jumblatt said during a ceremony to honor PSP veterans in al-Mukhtara : “We received yesterday the message of the rockets, and this is a dangerous message which may be addressed from our neighbors to France, via the Lebanese territory and at the expense of Lebanon’s stability, the South and entire Lebanon.”

“We had witnessed similar messages in the past and when you ask the (Lebanese) intelligence services they tell you ‘it is al-Qaida,’” Jumblatt added.

Jumblatt also accused “local, regional, Arab and international forces” of seeking to “oust U.N. forces from Lebanon ( UNIFIL) so that we return to the confrontation and maybe to a new war.”

Jumblatt said logic dictates “that the leadership of the Resistance (Hezbollah) should realize the graveness of the situation and demonstrate that the Lebanese interest is above all else.”

    now that iran is loosing syria which is  its closest allies in the middleeast , they will place  more efforts to gain lebanon and controle lebanon through there tool hezbollah ,so they can make up  syria,s loss in the middleast ,but it will be much harder for them to do so , because syria was the supply line  and weapons line to deliver weapons to hezbollah from iran , and that line is cut off it will make it diffucult for  hezbollah to sustain its strenght in lebanon ,another reason the order come from iran to attck the frensh forces , iran want the unifl forces  to leave  lebanon out so hezbollah could completely take over lebanon ,  and make lebanon an iranian colony . iran had orderd the attack on the french forces in lebanon and hezbollah had executed the orders ;  there will be more and more of those attacks , as syria will dip more and more into a civil war .

    Nice picture … again. 🙂  Either he’s losing a lot of sleep, or Nastyrallah punched him in the left eye after he said; “Stop shooting rockets at Israel, because your aim is really bad and now we have to try to fix up another Lebanese body and re-build his house.”.
    After the fist in the eye, he found some stupidity to say for the news-boys. Something about rocket-messages. You’d think a phone would be faster, actually.
    But in the end he does get a little shot back at Nasty … in his own way.
