Turkish FM: no longer possible to trust the Syrian government

Share:

Turkey ratchetted up its rhetoric against former friend Syria on Monday after protesters attacked its diplomatic missions in Syria.

“We will take the most resolute stance against these attacks and we will stand by the Syrian people’s rightful struggle,” Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told the Turkish parliament, referring to the attacks on the diplomatic missions.

Davutoglu said it was no longer possible to trust the Syrian government.

Is this because of Armenian experience ! Turkey is call on to the syriaan issue because EU and US want them to ..

I doubt it is only because the western world thinks they should … and while Armenians have never forgotten what the Turks will never admit fully, and still live in desperate times in Armenia, it is not the Turks of this year who slaughtered a million. One hopes some aspects of society there have changed – and they recognize the ‘wrong’ in Syria.
Maybe some day they will take the thumb off Armenians, or they and others will take the thumbs off the Kurds. But I doubt the ‘west’ tells them to do anything.
