Syrian forces fire on residents fleeing to Lebanon. 1 killed

A woman was killed and five people injured today as Syrian forces fired on residents attempting to cross into Lebanon to escape their country’s recent wave of violence.

A Lebanese security worker said Syrian forces sprayed bullets over a crowd of people at the border crossing near the northern Lebanese town of Wadi Khaled.

A Lebanese soldier was among those wounded.

Thousands of people from western Syria have crossed into Lebanon in recent weeks to escape violence as security forces crack down on antigovernment protesters.

Human rights groups say more than 775 people have been killed in Syria since the start of protests against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad in mid-March.

    Lebanese soldiers should return the fire at the Syrian Soldiers in return. The Syrian regime is acting like looser and even if they retake the towns by force, Syria will never be the same again. Even if Assad implemented reforms the ugly scenes of killing protesters on the streets and at funerals and jailing and torturing thousands of people will not be easily forgotten. The regime will be overthrown because the people will arm themselves this time around and they will mount many fights against the regime for sure. the more challenges it faces, the weaker it gets. Now Syrian regime trying to force a war with Israel it seems and they will loose against Israel and hope it will never brutalize Lebanese and Syrians anymore..
