Progressive Socialist party which is headed by MP Walid Jumblatt said in a statement: “The party delegation walked out of the Socialist International Conference in Tunisia due to the participation of opposition delegations from Syria, Bahrain and Iran, which contradicts with the party’s stance that opposes meddling in other nations’ affairs.”

PSP also reported that Jumblatt sent a cable of condolences to Moroccan King Mohammed VI over the victims of the bombing that targeted the city of Marrakesh on Thursday

Jumblatt who called for overthrowing the Syrian regime between 2005 and 2009 officially defected to the Iranian and Syrian backed alliance last January.

  8. Walid Jumblatt thought he was making clever political moves, by joining alliance with Hezbollah, because of the backing of Syria and Iran. Now, it seems he cannot backtrack from it, because it will make him look foolish. But to openly oppose anti-regime protesters in Syria, Iran and Bahrain has already made him a even bigger fool in the eyes of the Lebanese, let alone the whole world. Jumblatt has been nothing but a failed Lebanese politician.

Mr Jumblat, You ain’t Jimmy Carter, You ain’t Gandhi ,and you ain’t a neutral Swiss national.
To be an Ambassador for political correctness is quite late for you, also your untruthful shenanigans attempts is quite unbelievable to most of your constituents and to the nation of Lebanon in general.
You had lost your credibility by switching sides so many times thru the years, I am guessing that your late father might be rolling in his grave because of your late publicity stunts, it is quite mind boggling I just don’t get it.
Stop the madness, start cleaning your Lebanese back yard instead of cleaning the neighbors yard.
May the Druze God guide you in the right way before its too late, and I am not sure if your mistakes are mendable,
