The United States hopes the U.N. Security Council will pass a resolution on Thursday dealing with the Libyan crisis, Undersecretary of State William Burns said.
“I’m not assuming that it’s going to fail. I think we can produce a resolution … I hope we can today,” Burns told a Senate committee when asked about the possibility that Russia or China could veto the U.N. resolution. Burns said the measure included, but was not limited to, the possibility of establishing a no-fly zone over Libya. Reuters
