Alloush: Cedar Revolution set an example for others to follow

Future Movement official Mustafa Alloush told Future TV on Friday: “The Cedar Revolution has set an example for others to follow, but it remains incomplete due to the presence of weapons in the Lebanese society. In a possible reference to the weapons of Hezbollah and Syrian backed Palestinian militants.

Over a million Lebanese , Chrstians, Druze and Muslims protestd in downtown Beirut on March 14, 2005 demanding Syria's withdrawal from Lebanon. Syria withdraw in April 2005 after 29 years of military presence

March 14 marks the 6th anniversary of the Cedar revolution when over 1 million Lebanese gathered in down Beirut to protest against the murder of the the late PM Rafik Hariri and called on Syrian troops to leave Lebanon. The Syrian troops withdrew in April 2005
