Former Lebanese Prime Minister and Lebanon First parliamentary bloc leader MP Fouad Siniora criticized on Wednesday former US Ambassador to United Nation John Bolton by saying his recent unacceptable statements are rejected and are aimed at dividing the Lebanese people as well as creating a rift in Lebanese-Syrian relations.
“Bolton’s statements only serve Israel,” Siniora said in a statement.
In an article published in the Al-Hayat newspaper on Monday in which he criticized president Barack Obama, Bolton speculated that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) Prosecutor (Daniel Bellemare) will soon release the indictments in the investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and said “It is almost certain that high ranking Syrian and Hezbollah officials will be accused of the crime.”
