Local TV channels reported that armed clashes erupted in the Barbour district in western Beirut between the Amal and al Ahbash supporters

Sporadic gunfire was reportedly heard in the nearby neighborhoods

The Lebanese army intervened and the situation is now under control

Amal movement denied clashing with al Ahbash . Amal leader Speaker Nabih Berri said the clash was the result of individual disputes between some AMAL members.

Last August a bloody street battle shook the Borj Abi Haidar neighborhood in the Lebanese capital , pitting supporters of the Iranian backed Hezbollah against the pro-Syrian Al-Ahbash militants —also known as the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects. 3 people were reportedly killed in the clash including a Hezbollah senior official.

The Hezbollah- Al-Ahbash fighting which was sparked by a dispute over a parking space quickly developed into street battles with machine gun fire and rocket-propelled grenades.”

During its 29 years of military presence in Lebanon, Syria armed its allies and specially Hezbollah and some Palestinian militant factions

  3. We do not deserve a country like Lebanon. Martial law should be imposed and any civilian carrying arms in the streets should be shot without warning regardless to the religion of this armed civilian.

What is the difference between Lebanon and the shittiest places in africa when it comes to arms in the hands of civilians….absolutley nothing
