Miss USA gets key to Dearborn

Miss USA Rima Fakih has returned to her hometown of Dearborn to receive a key to the city from Mayor John B. O’Reilly Jr.

A series of Dearborn events for Fakih this week leads up to Saturday’s ceremony, when she’s scheduled to receive a key to the city and give a talk aimed at young people. A reception follows.

Fakih was born in Lebanon and moved to the U.S. as a baby. She was raised in New York and moved to Michigan in 2003.

Since being crowned, she’s been on a worldwide tour. She will represent the U.S. in the Miss Universe contest in Las Vegas in August. Boston Herald
