Gunfire was heard Friday evening in Church street inside the Rashidiya Palestinian Refugee camp in south Lebanon. The investigation revealed later that the shooting was due to a dispute between 2 Palestinians Muhammad Ali Aoudeh (25 years) and Mohamed Mahmoud Alqirfly (27 years), both from the Fatah movement.

Based on the 1969 Cairo accord the Palestinian refugee camps – were removed from the jurisdiction of the Lebanese army and placed under the authority of the Palestinian Armed Struggle Command. After 1969, they ( the camps) became a key popular base for terrorists.
