In response to the two Lebanese citizens aboard the Freedom Flotilla that remain detained by Israel, a Lebanese MP affiliated with Hezbollah said that the Resistance group will be ultimately responsible for bringing them home. The imprisonment of Lebanese citizens by Israel has sparked fear among many that the grounds for war have been initiated by the Jewish state.
Agriculture Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan told Future News on Wednesday that Israel will pay for its attack on an aid convoy of peace activists bound for the Gaza Strip on Monday.
“Lebanese nationals detained by Israel are our responsibility as a government, people and Resistance,” Hajj Hassan said, in reference to the three Lebanese nationals who had been detained by Israeli forces following the raid on Monday.
On Tuesday, Israeli officials reported that three Lebanese men will be released to UNIFIL forces at the Naqoura border in South Lebanon on Wednesday.
