The Phalange party( Kataeb ) which is headed by former Lebanese president Amin Gemayel urged its supporters to participate heavily in the rally on Feb. 14 ” in support of the martyrs of the Cedar Revolution “.
The party stressed in a statement the need to rebuild a sovereign and a modern state in which the legitimate Lebanese institutions (the army and internal security forces) only will be able to assert the state’s authority over all Lebanese territory .
The rally will be to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the assassination of Lebanon’s former PM Rafik Hariri
