Merkel’s adviser in Lebanon to meet with key officials

Christoph Heusgen , German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s chief foreign and security adviser arrived in Beirut in an unannounced visit. he already met Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Shami and Prime Minister Saad Hariri and is expected to meet later with to meet with President Michel Suleiman and Speaker Nabih Berri

Heusgen will reportedly head to Damascus, Syria through the Masnaa border crossing after concluding his meetings in Lebanon.
