Saudi-Syrian effort to resolve Palestinian weapons issue

Former Tripoli MP Misbah al-Ahdab told LBC TV on Monday that unofficial reports point to a Saudi-Syrian arrangement to resolve the issue of Palestinian weapons outside the refugee camps in Lebanon

Ahmad Jibril, head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC), said yesterday his group will not surrender its weapons to the Lebanese army.

Jibril a formal captain in the Syrian army has very close ties with the Syrian leadership. His headquarters and his main military base are very close to the Syrian borders

Ahdab also reiterated his objection to Hezbollah’s weapons, adding that he only supports legitimate arms within the state authority.
