Israel claims it passed twice on assassinating Nasrallah

According to high-ranking Israeli sources, Israeli Mossad secret services were instructed to carry out a swift operation to “liquidate” Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasralla, but added that the presence of a large number of children in the building on that day prevented such an attack. Given Israel’s scorecard on conducting massacres that involve a large number of children, twice in Qana, the claim is dubious at best.

The Kuwaiti daily al-Jarida, citing high-ranking Israeli sources, said Friday an Israeli drone type ‘Shoval’ flying at high altitude has recently pinpointed Nasrallah by tracking his movements near a Hizbullah security base in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

The second time, the sources added, was when Nasrallah made a quick visit to Damascus in February for talks with Syrian President Bashar Assad and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

They said Mossad at the time, pinpointed Nasrallah’s activity but he managed to get away with murder after crossing into Syrian territory.
