Lebanon’s Information Minister Tarek Mitri briefed the media following the cabinet meeting at Baabda;
-President Suleiman stressed that all search teams for the Ethiopian airlines flight ET409 are continuing their tasks and that they will announce all their findings to the Lebanese once known
– Suleiman highlighted the importance of reforms and said that reforms in municipal law pave the way for reforms in parliamentary elections law.
– Interior Minister Ziad Baroud’s proposals were discussed and the cabinet agreed to adopt proportional representation in some of the regions. Another cabinet meeting to discuss municipal elections will be held on Wednesday.
-The cabinet agreed on holding the municipal elections on time.
– Suleiman condemned the Israeli kidnapping of Lebanese national Rabih Mohammad Zahra.
