Lebanon’s Minister of Labor Charbel Nahhas told OTV television on Thursday that the cabinet’s vote on the wage increase plan “was politically-motivated and biased.”
Nahhas accused his colleagues in the Change and Reform bloc who voted against his plan of acting as “an octopus seeking … to defend its personal interests ”
“It is very regrettable that even Amal and Hezbollah ministers voted against my plan,” he added.
OTV, which is owned by Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun branded on Wednesday evening the parties that voted against Nahhas plan as ” the new 5 party hostile coalition ” in reference to Hezbollah , AMAL Movement , President Michel Suleiman, PM Najib Mikati and Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat.
