4 killed in Lebanon-Israel border shooting- update2

MAROUN AL-RAS, Lebanon – Four protesters were killed and 11 wounded in a shooting incident at the Lebanese-Israeli border where Palestinians were demonstrating on Sunday, security sources said.

Reuters cameraman Ezzat Baltaji said he filmed three dead bodies and two that were immobile.

Israeli forces had fired in the air to repel Palestinians demonstrating and the Lebanese army had fired in the air in an attempt to stop protesters from reaching the border.

May 15 marks the “Nakba Day.” Nakba, meaning catastrophe in Arabic, and marks the period when more than 700,000 Arabs were displaced from their homes during the fighting following the creation of Israel in 1948.

Update 3: The death toll from the Israeli shooting at protesters in the Lebanese border town of Maroun al-Ras has reportedly risen to 10 dead and more than 100 wounded.
