Lebanese officials offer condolences to Saudi King Salman over the death of his brother

Lebanese officials offered their condolences Saturday to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdel Aziz over the death of his brother Prince Turki who passed away early Saturday.

Prince Turki was the deputy minister of defense from 1968 to 1978

President Michel Aoun, Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt, Speaker Nabih Berri and caretaker Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi were the first to send cables to King Salman to offer their condolences.

Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri also offered his condolences to King Salman, Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Nayef and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
